On September 12, 2024, the Russian House in Dhaka hosted an inspiring meeting with Iurii Artemovich Volkov, an Honored Traveler of Russia, renowned photographer-publicist, and blogger. Volkov, a member of the Russian Geographical Society and president of the public organization All Worlds, has participated in over 65 expeditions, including three global circumnavigation trips, covering 145 countries, Antarctica, and the North Pole.
During the event, Volkov shared captivating stories of his travels across Russia and around the world. He discussed his patriotic project, “All the Elements,” where the Russian tricolor flag was proudly unfurled at iconic locations, symbolizing different natural elements. These included Lake Baikal for water, a drifting ice floe at the North Pole, and the Kamchatka volcano representing fire. A massive 1,500-square-meter Russian flag was also displayed on Elbrus, Moscow, and Crimea.
Volkov also spoke about his numerous world records, public diplomacy lectures, and experiences gained through decades of global exploration. The guests were deeply engaged as he answered questions about Russia, sharing his unique perspectives.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving the participants inspired by Volkov’s incredible journeys and dedication to promoting friendship and understanding through travel.
