Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has entered into a strategic partnership with Zaytoon Business Solutions to introduce QR payment solutions in local shops across villages and rural areas in various districts of Bangladesh. This collaboration aims to enhance financial inclusion by offering easy and secure cashless payment options, while also enabling digital account opening services to make banking more accessible to underserved communities.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB, and Mr. Arfan Ali, Chairman of Zaytoon Business Solutions, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations. Attendees from MTB included Mr. Shafquat Hossain, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Retail, and Mr. Khalid Hossin, Head of Digital Banking. Representing Zaytoon were Mr. Akber Hossain, Managing Director, and other senior officials.

This initiative reflects both organizations’ commitment to driving financial empowerment in Bangladesh by leveraging digital innovation to bridge the gap in access to banking services in rural regions.
